On Halloween afternon our classroom
became an out of this world place...
We even had our very own alien visit.
"
Greeting citizens of the universe:
I am a Guilarian of the planet Guilar.
My name is Salana and I come to you
as an emissary of my people... I am
afraid I must make a confession.   In
reality each of you is an alien but you
don't remember because my people
have erased your alien memory.   Do
not be afraid.   You have not been harmed.
We are a peaceful people.   We only did
this so we could understand and
communicate with each of your cultures.
You have been given a nametag with your
true alien name..." explains Ms. Melanie.

"We would like you to join the Intergalactic World Association.   We understand that to do so you must become familiar with our culture and our people.   I invite you to my Space Lair where you can feel the body parts of the Guilarians.   First, you can touch our eyeballs.   Then you can feel our flesh.   Then you can caress our hair and finally you can feel the texture of our brains. "
A HUGE thank you to all of the moms who
helped to make such wonderful alien
treats! The eyeballs and alien faces were
something else! Not to mention the tasty
Pluto punch that Ms. Sara is stiring - it
was delicious!

Doesn't this table look great! Are you brave enough to eat an eye?
Look at all of these scary alien faces. Peanut butter and jelly satrs anyone?
The children played two terrific games.
They went alien apple bobbing which was loads
of fun and made us all laugh lots and lots. They
also tested their skill as they threw bean bags
into the black hole!

Doesn't this look cool!

Which one shall I try for?
This is wet work... Yeah, I got it! But I need to wipe off...
Ok - aim for the black hole... It was awesome having so many moms join
us! A BIG thank you to Melanie, Margaret,
Elaine, Alice, Annette and Claudia for all of
their help both before and on the day itself.

We all enjoyed making great solar system
masks. We got to decorate our masks with
glitter, stars and paint!

Doesn't my mask look great! Here we are all are!
Time to parade around the track adn show
off our costumes.
We were terific spectators.
Here we all are. What a fun day!
