Cruising the Nile

We went on a field trip in Egyptian Culture. We rode a boat down the Nile River. One of the men on the boat showed us how Papyrus was made. This is the way it is made. You soak the papyrus and cut it into strips. Then you lay the strips side by side and on top of one another and put them under a weigh to press them together. You need to wait for ten days for it to be finished.

The papyrus feels squishy.

Checking out the Nile-o- meter!

A relaxing cruise.

Learning about Thailand

We had some Thai visitiors come to school to share their culture with us. They showed us how to do batik, carve vegetables and do thai dancing. We aso played the snake game.
