MESAC fine Arts Festival
A MESAC Fine Arts Festival is designed to bring students from MESAC schools together for a noncompetitive event and to explore the arts in a productive manner. Each festival will include a festival band, a festival choir, dramatic opportunities, and art workshops. Hosting schools may wish to include other areas such as dance, but this varies from year to year. Other concerts, field trips or social activities will be determined by the festival director.
The Fine Arts Festival occurs annually at both the Senior and Junior levels. Each festival is a three-day event that focuses on the areas of art, music (both band and choral), and drama. Workshops are provided for the participants in the art, while the band, drama and choir participants attend rehearsals. The festival finishes with The Gala Performance and Art Display which represents the culmination of the weekend's rehearsals and displays the projects resulting from the festival art workshops. Works of art, which represent the programs of the participating schools are displayed throughout the festival.
