  • "The Measure of a Heart" by Brett Aiden Hunt

Brett was a student at CAC from third grade (Aug 1999) through tenth grade, returning to Canada in June 2006.

Brett has just had her book published, an amazing achievement for such a young person.

It's something many people dream of, but to actually achieve that goal is quite something else. The book "The Measure of a Heart" is the true story of Brett's friendship with Alex Klimentos from third grade, the closeness of a diverse group of third culture kids through their middle school years, the pain of separation and sense of loss as people move on, but how the unique friendships stayed cemented against all odds. Ultimately, the book deals with the loss of Alex in July 2008, and how this changed their lives.

  • Phase 1 Development

The first phase of the realization of the CAC Master Plan is construction of a new elementary school. This will include an elementary library; an auditorium to seat 700; and commons spaces to be shared all grade levels. The design has been developed by Hillier Architects with recognition of regional materials and themes. Galleries open to prevailing winds; sun screening on windows; and, sun protected play areas are some of the environmental design elements.
