    • On May 5, 2008 a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Elementary School took place.

    • The Master Plan includes the following new buildings:
      • Black Box Theater
      • Gymnasium
      • Elementary School
      • Middle School
    • In addition to those buildings, the following new additions will be made as part of the Master Plan:
      • Middle School/High School library
      • 400 meter track
      • Pool
      • Basket ball courts
      • Tennis courts
      • Soccer field

    • The Master Plan includes renovations on the following buildings:
      • Performing Arts Building
      • High School
      • Administration Building

    • Construction has been carried out in a remarkably smooth manner with a focus on educational continuity for students.
  • When will the Master Plan be complete?

    • Construction on the final phase of the Master Plan should begin in 2016.
  • How is the Master Plan improving school life for students?

    • The Master Plan encompasses the development of world class facilities utilizing quality building standards and materials that support environmental sustainability, an important element of CAC’s long term legacy and overall Strategic Plan. Sufficiently large and well-lit learning spaces will fit curricular and co-curricular needs, while state-of-the-art information technology will continue to be accessible throughout the school. These improvements in technology and facilities will lead to direct improvements in the overall quality of student life available at CAC, allowing us to maintain our position as the top community school in Cairo.
  • Who was commissioned design and build the Master Plan?

    • Hillier Worldwide Architecture worked with local firm Raafat Miller Consulting to develop the Master Plan and the design of the Elementary School.
    • Perkins Eastman of New York City partnered with local consultants Wassef Design Office (WDO) to design the Middle School and the Middle School/High School Library.
