Letter to parents

¡Hola!
The Elementary Spanish team welcomes your child into our Spanish classes this year.
It should be a lot of fun as we explore together the new dynamic world of the Spanish language.
In the beginning/intermediate levels students will have a communicative approach to language learning through an eclectic methodology, supplemented with various Spanish Teacher resources.
In these first years, emphasis is placed on speaking and listening skills and writing and reading are developed. Many creative activities such as student dramatization, games, songs, finger play, stories and various listening activities are used to immerse the students in a hand-on Spanish language program. All the activities and games are planned to appeal to children and motivate them to continue expanding their Spanish skills. Our goal is to stimulate them to communicate confidently in Spanish, and to encourage them to learn more about the culture.
Homework will be given once or twice a week. Let's maximize the learning of Spanish by making sure that all assignments are completed on time. Daily review of material covered in class will reinforce the language acquisition process.
Please feel free to contact us regarding any concerns you may have about our program.
Looking forward to a very successful year for all our students.
Sincerely,
Monique Le Caier
