1 CURRICULUM 
The theme of the 1st grade curriculum is " Famous Monuments
and Buildings in Egypt".
1. Ancient Egypt
This unit involves a general study of how life started by
the Nile river side, from cavemen's time until the building of the
pyramids. It includes an explanation of the belief behind building
the pyramids, the methods , and the tools used for building them.
The daily life of ancient Egypt is introduced through this unit which
is followed by a trip to the Giza Pyramids.
2. Coptic and Islamic Egypt
In this unit, children will learn about
the similarity in the architecture of a church and a mosque, the
story of the Holy Family coming to Egypt, and staying at the Maadi
Monastery and the story of the Citadel and the Mohammed Aly Mosque.
This unit is followed by 2 trips to the Maadi Monastery and the Citadel.
3. Contemporary Egypt
Here we will learn about the life of Egyptian children: their
interests, foods and famous sports.
4. Language and songs
This unit involves the teaching of the most commonly used
Arabic words, as well as some famous folk songs, or children songs.
5. Games and Tales
In this unit students will be introduced to some of the famous
games of Egyptian children. Also, some of the most famous Ancient
Egyptian, Arabic and contemporary tales will be read or narrated
to the students.
6. Special Occasions
Here we will learn about all social and religious occasions
that take place during the school year to help students understand
what is going on around them.
7. Field Trips
