I left home when I was 18 to go to Bluffton College in northwest Ohio. I majored and
earned my BA in Elementary Education. I came to Egypt in 1977, where I served for two years
as a volunteer teacher at Ramses College for Girls (RCG). I returned home to
my native Ohio, where I taught at Western Elementary School in Bellefontaine, for two years.
I returned to Egypt in 1981, as a 4th grade teacher. This will be my 25th year as a teacher,
and 21st year at CAC.
I am married and have three children (ages 16, 13, and 7). This year, I will have a child
in each school. Besides teaching, I also coach the high school baseball team. Outside of
school, I enjoy playing softball, reading, and watching my children participate in the CAC
and Maadi community sports programs. I also enjoy working with the computer. In 2000, I
earned my MA in Computers in Education at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale,
FL. This past summer I took four computer classes at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI).
