Recycling Project

In this project my class and I worked on a sculpture that consisted of only recycled materials such as cd's, water bottels, lego's, brpken toys, ect... This project shows me that sculpting isnt something that requiers only clay but almost anyhing you set your mind to . This project shows my artistic ability with recycled materials. At the beggining of this project i thought it was gonna be boring and a waste of time but throught the few days we worked on it i gre to realize that is was vary interesting and fun if I might add. There were many difficulties while i was sculpting which i had to work around. One of the main problems i had was cuting the watter bottle with a cardboard cutter which was quite difficult. Cutting the straight holes in it which was pretty hard. A goal for the next time I do a project similare to this one i will try to stay on topic more and not fool around with my friends. But other then this I had a really good time.

Using clay!

This work shows my true artistic abilities that I have shown threw out this semester in sculpture while working with clay. It also shows me how I interpreted the tasks and used special tools to construct my work. In my artwork there are different types of stories that show the difficulties. Of course I had to either continue by facing these difficulties or by working around them. Through out this semester we worked with clay for the majority of the time, which was, vary interesting no matter how hard it was. This work tells me that my skills towards art have grown in this last semester thanks to sculpture. This also tells me that I can now construct many different thing s with my hands and a couple of sculpting tools. Now I know that just by giving me a task I can set my mind to do almost anything I am set to do. In the clay unit we created many different things such as mugs, whistles, and self-portraits of ourselves, which turned out way better that I expected it to be. A goal I have for the next time I work on something similar is to stay on topic a lot more instead of digressing all the time. This is probably the main thing I did wrong during the time where I was meant to be working on my project.
