Working with clay My work shows my artistic abilities and how I work with my materials. This work tells me that I am able to create objects with what I am given. It also tells me that I can create objects with tools and my hands. Over this course I have faced many difficulties with my art breaking especially when you work with clay and you have extra small pieces sticking out of you clay figure because they easily break. Throughout this semester we have mainly worked with clay, which we made dogs, self-portraits, reclining figures, whistles and mugs with animal figures. We also made figures with other material. When we worked with clay we formed a triangle cylinder. From there we would mold our figures without adding extra parts like arms or legs for example. When I finished all these products I had learned how to use different tools and how to improve my work so it wouldn't be simple, easy and boring. Next time I work I should follow the topic more like when we worked on the whistles I didn't pay attention to the video and therefore it took me twice as long to make my whistle. I think that if I pay attention to work that I normally don't do I should pay attention first. |
Recycling project. Our recycling projects shows me that when we work with empty bottles, broken CD's and other non usable materials you can make a bazaar but interesting piece of work. This work tells me that by using craft you can create a great piece of art that is out of the ordinary. To create this project we took garbage materials and connected them with a glue gun to make interesting projects. Next time I do this type of project I will be able to use my experience to create a better project. |
