Self portrait

This piece of sculpture was one that was meant to be a portrait of our selves. We made this piece while we were surrounded by mirrors as we tried to duplicate our facial features by shaping and texturing the clay. This piece of work showed me that animals are easier to make than humans because it was difficult to maintain the facial features proportional and symmetric. This work tells me that human features are difficult to duplicate because of their immense detail that we may not notice without actually trying to duplicate them. This piece was inspired by Michael Brener.

Recycled piece

This piece was made not only for our enjoyment but also for the good of the Earth. Although we might not have made a significant difference on a world wide scale we may have definitely inspired people to adopt a new style of art. This peace showed me that from one man's trash a masterpiece can be created. This work shows me that normal pieces of trash can be formed to make an interesting piece. My piece of recycled trash was made to look like an alien vehicle or some type of alien transportation. The hard part of making this piece was keeping the piece balanced because the piece was uneven and had many balance problems.
