Grades:  Grades are calculated by averaging the students total points earned over a quarter.  There will be a grade for projects (45%), participation (30%),  and classroom work (25%). 50% for each quarter determines the semester grades. There is no extra credit work. The Honor Code is strictly enforced.

Late Assignments: Penalties for late work on a per quarter basis

Late by:           One class – 10% of assessment grade

Two classes – 25%

Three classes – 40%

Four or more classes – grade F or 55%

Work not handed in – 0%

Absences:    Students are responsible for work missed during absences.  Students schedule any missed quizzes on arrival back to class.  If the absence is unexcused there will be no make up for the missed quizzes, tests or homework.  Students have one day for each day absent to make up missed work.  Failure to do so will result in a failing grade.  Email me or see me during your off day to catch up.  In the case of pre-planned extracurricular activities you are responsible for getting work in before the class you will miss.

Extra Help:  Please seek extra help if you are having difficulties. Feel free to email me about school related questions.

INTERNET Grades: I regularly post grades to the Internet.  I expect that students and parents regularly check their grades.  If you are not receiving the grade that you want, contact me soon.  The end of the quarter is too late!
