Eventful Egypt Week..

We're taking up the letter "E" so we immersed ourselves in

Egyptian Culture.

KGD's Egyptian flags on our classroom door and

we made our own KGD Mummy.

Ms. Dolly asked KGD why we want to have a KGD Mummy and they replied:

So no one will steal things from our class

To protect our class

To protect other classes

To keep our family together and not let someone break it apart

To eat the bad people

Here are other students' comments about our KGD Mummy:

Ms. Nehad and Ms. Shereen

Then we all had our Egyptian Lunch in our classroom.

We went to see how Eesh Baladi bread is made.

Ms. Samia told us that first, they mix wheat flour, salt, yeast and water.

This is the bran, wheat grain husk that is rich in vitamins, minerals and protein.

Flattened doughs are left to rise on it and bran is generously sprinkled on the dough.

Then, they are baked in this mud-brick oven .
