Farm Trip

On our Way to the Farm

It was a looong trip...

Finally, we arrived!!!

We ate our snacks

This is how they dry the dates

We rode on donkeys...

Then off to the water pump

Crossing the fields of corn and spring onions

The water pump

Ms. Dina explained how they used water pumps to irrigate the farms.

We learned how every part of the Date Tree is used.

Barks are used to make ropes...

Dates are used to make jams, in cookies, cakes,

biscuits ...

Its branches are used to make baskets

On our way back, we saw how Zucchinis are grown.

We performed the Donkey Dance for our Parents...

They were delighted!

Then we all enjoyed Fresh Fettir

with Cheese & Honey, all fresh from the farm. Yummy!

This is the farmer who gets

the dates from the palm tree.

He collected dates for us to take back to school.

The Donkey Song

Have you ever been to Egypt?

picking dates from a tree.

See the Pharaoh dancing,

Riding on a donkey.

Hi! Ho! and away we go,

Donkey riding, Donkey riding

Hi! Ho! and away we go,

Riding on a donkey.

Hi! Ho! and away we go,

Donkey riding, Donkey riding

Hi! Ho! and away we go,

Riding on a donkey.

We had a great time!!!
