Blocks, Sensory Table, and Constructions

 

In the Block Center the children are able to explore many different mathematical concepts such as design and construction, comparing, adding, subtracting, measuring, ordering, and balancing. Team work and other prosocial behaviours are also needed in order to create group projects. The Block Center is also a welcoming place for children who wish to play independently. Sensory play is play that stimulates all the senses while encouraging the children to develop concepts like spatial awareness, measurement, water conservation, and volume.
