Dear Student Athletes,
On behalf of the entire Cairo American College community, I extend a warm welcome to you, your coaches, and your supporters as you join us for the 2007 I.S.S.T. Baseball Championships. One of the great joys of our school’s intercollegiate commitment is creating opportunities for you to meet new people, share our rich cultural setting, and engage in the intense competition of this special tournament which will undoubtedly be another one for the record books!
During the next few days you will focus, perform well and hard, develop a deeper sense of the value of playing baseball as part of a team, and probably have moments of both anguish and jubilance – all part of the competitive experience. Above all, you will make some memories which will last a lifetime.
Everyone is aware that a great deal of work goes into organizing such a complex event as this. Our thanks and appreciation go to Mr. Kenny Macaulay, our Athletic Director and Tournament Director, for the endless hours he has invested into making this event all you want it to be. Our Head Baseball coach, Monte Davis has been part of the planning team and many other community members have also contributed their time and effort to ensure this is a first class event. I know you will share your gratitude during the course of the tournament.

Dear Coaches, Athletes, and Spectators,
On behalf of Cairo American College, I am delighted to welcome you to the 2007 I.S.S.T. Baseball Championships.
Many people have invested many hours into this event to provide you with a first class competition and experience in Cairo. C.A.C. is proud to be your hosts and I would like to acknowledge the truly amazing efforts of the community volunteers, the C.A.C. administration, faculty, coaches, students and most of all the CAC custodial staff for their tireless work behinds the scenes.
A special thank you to Monte Davis, CAC coach, for his ideas, support and expertise, the Cairo American Softball League, our many sponsors, the CAC Booster Club and After-Prom committees.
In addition, a huge “Thank You”, to the CAC housing families, for providing wonderful hospitality and accommodation for the student-athletes. The housing experience is what makes the I.S.S.T. experience so unique, and without your support such events would not be possible!
This is a wonderful time to show off your athletic talents and to share in a fine experience with teammates and the new friends you will certainly meet. The obvious benefit that our own team members derive from such a high level of competition is matched by the opportunity we have to extend to you the spirit of hospitality and sportsmanship that we hope you will long remember. Your participation in this meet is greatly appreciated.
Good luck to all participants. I hope the time you spent preparing for this event is rewarded with a successful team performance. I also hope you are able to enjoy Cairo and Egypt during your stay, and that you leave with fond memories of your time spent here!
