ISST BASEBALL

The Athletic Program at CAC is extensive and encompasses grades six through 12. We are fortunate to have such wonderful facilities on our campus for Athletics and Physical Education. The maintenance of the facilities and equipment are the responsibility of the Athletic Department. These facilities include:

Track & Field facilities, including:

  • One 400m all-weather track
  • A shot put area with shot put circle
  • A discus circle
  • Two high jump areas
  • Two Long-jump/ Triple-jump pits
  • Three all weather tennis courts with lights
  • One outdoor basketball court with lights
  • One 25m swimming pool with diving area
  • Two 90m grass sports fields with lights
  • One full gymnasium with divider curtains
  • One mid-size gym (new)
  • One downstairs gymnasium for wrestling, gymnastics, and aerobics
  • One fully equipped Universal weight room
  • Two softball/ baseball diamonds at Victory fields

These facilities are utilized to the full extent possible with cooperation between the Athletic Department, Elementary Activities, Middle School Intramurals, Physical Education classes and community groups. The CAC community at large is also free to use the track, tennis courts and soccer fields when school activities are not scheduled. After school facility scheduling for sports teams is done through the Athletic Department. Other groups are then scheduled after requests are made to and approved by the Activities Committee. These groups may vary slightly from year to year in size and facility need (i.e. Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts), but ongoing community groups include:

  • Maadi Little League Baseball Association (MLLBA)
  • Maadi Basketball Association (MBA)
  • Youth Soccer League (YSL) Community Basketball
  • Community Volleyball Maadi Indoor Soccer League

The Athletic Director is a member of the Victory Fields Association (VFA) which coordinates the use and maintenance of the fields at Victory College. CAC is the contract holder for those fields. Other members include the Cairo Rugby Club and the Cairo American Softball League (CASL). This membership is necessary for CAC to maintain access to the fields for CAC Varsity Softball, Baseball and JV Softball teams, and to give CAC the opportunity to host baseball or softball tournaments.
