About CAC

Dear Parents,

Here is some updated information regarding our campus access guidelines. As mentioned in our various communications, the purposes of these campus access guidelines are as follows:

1) Allow for full use by CAC students and families in a safe and secure environment; 2) Keep our facilities in top shape, i.e., sustainability; 3) Limit use by non-CAC community members (50% of any group must be CAC); 4) Insure non-CAC users pay a reasonable fee for use and 5) Limit liability and exposure by complying with Egyptian Labor and Tax Law

CAC is unique in international schools regarding campus access, and we want to continue to be a community resource while being safe and secure. We want to maintain our warm approach to students and parents.

Our new chip cards are now in use, so be sure to get you card at the ID office if you have not already done so. If you would like further information, our TOWN HALL summary is available online as well. Attached you will find the referenced "DUTY ROSTER" should you have a question or concern about access, or if you have a situation where access is needed and you need our immediate attention. This roster is also posted on our website, and our Admin Team is here to assist you. Please keep in mind the following as we transition to our new chip system:

- Please call the ID Office (2755 5518 or 2755 5528) to make an appointment to pick up your new card
- Parents need to transition to new cards by December 5, 2010. "Old" cards will continue to work until that time.
- The ID Office will be open until 5:00 PM on Tuesdays through November, as well as on Saturdays from 10 AM - 2 PM as needed to accommodate parent appointments and card pick up.

The NEW school entrance
- Please ask your driver to pull forward as far as possible to assist in traffic management (past the new gate area, and children can walk back to the gate on the sidewalk).
- Have student bags and other items ready when exiting vehicles so that stoppage time is kept to a minimum.
- As always, watch for students (and adults) crossing the road!

Thank you all in advance for your continued cooperation. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns.

Best Regards,

Rob
