Lice Information :

Every year in every country, students around the world are faced with other students having lice in the classroom. At CAC, we work hard to control any lice in the classroom. It is not necessarily a sign of bad hygiene, and lice actually prefer clean hair. Students initially are sent home in order to shampoo and clean the nits. Then students are asked to come into the health office prior to school for two weeks in order to establish no new infection. Often, students in classrooms are checked as well.

Preventatives include-

• Not sharing brushes, combs, hats

• Tying long hair back

• Shampooing regularly with any shampoo and using cream rinse or conditioner
