Congratulations!

Congratulations to those who made the following teams. The practices are well under way and everyone is getting ready for the EMAC and ISST Tournaments at the end of the season:

Practices started the week of January 31st, 2010 for the no-cuts Middle School Soccer program. They will end the season by participating in the CISSA Middle School Soccer Tournament on March 19-20, 2010 at Modern English School.

Coming up…

Mike Ross Degla Dash

 The Degla Dash will be held on Friday, February 12th in Wadi Degla. Many thanks, in advance, to those that participate, and especially to the volunteers that assist with the organization and running of the event!  Online registration is currently available on the CAC Website. Entry forms are also available at the Front Gate, Athletic, Elementary, Middle and High School Offices.

Events include: 

  • 2.5 K individual Fun Run/Walk
  • 5 K individual and 5 K Team Cross Country Run
  • 10 K individual Cross Country Run

The Mike Ross Degla Dash is dedicated to Mike Ross (former CAC Physical Education Teacher and Coach who passed away on October 23, 1995) in appreciation for his wisdom and friendship to CAC and its community.  The funds raised will be passed on to the Children’s Cancer Hospital.

 

CISSA JV Basketball at CAC

CAC will host the CISSA Junior Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball tournament on February 5-6, 2010. The boys will compete on Friday, February 5 and the girls will compete on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Come support the CAC teams as they play against other schools in Cairo. Good luck to the team and their coaches, Kathy McGuigan & Sharif Kotb (boys), Tara Blackshear and Steve Roberts (girls).

 

EMAC JV & Varsity Cross Country in Cairo

The EMAC Junior Varsity & Varsity Cross Country tournament will be hosted by CAC this year.  The meet will take place on February 19-20, 2010. Good luck to our runners and their coaches Ben Robinson and Kim Nerenhausen. Many thanks to the parents who have volunteered to host students arriving from other schools and to our housing coordinator, Mrs. Gigi Hamdy for all her efforts in the housing process.

EMAC Wrestling at CAC

The 2010 EMAC Wrestling Tournament will take place here at CAC this year. The competition will take place February 19-20, 2010. Best of luck to our wrestlers and their coaches, Ahmed El Gharabli and Essam Salem.

 

EMAC JV Basketball in Abu Dhabi

The JV boys and girls will be traveling to Abu Dhabi for the EMAC tournament from February 17-21, 2010. The tournament will be hosted by the American Community School of Abu Dhabi. This year’s coaches are Kathy McGuigan & Sharif Kotb (boys), Tara Blackshear and Steve Roberts (girls). Best wishes to our teams and coaches.

 

EMAC Varsity Tennis in Cairo

The EMAC Varsity Boys and Girls Tennis Tournament will be hosted by CAC this year. It will take place at the Wadi Degla Sporting Club on February 18-20, 2010. The teams will arrive on Wednesday, February 17 and depart on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Best wishes to our CAC teams and coaches, Kerri Wethington & Roger Keevy.

 

Junior Varsity Softball Sign-ups

Sign-ups for the Junior Varsity Boys & Girls Softball teams will take place on February 8-10, 2010. Practices will start the week of February 14, 2010. The teams will be coached by Zach Secrist and Roger Keevy (boys), Tina Fossgreen and Nan Smith (girls).
