Welcome to the High School

It is wonderful to be back in session! A warm welcome to our entire Cairo American College community.
It is exciting to note that we have almost 70 new students joining CAC this fall. Over 450 strong, the high school is a vibrant place to be! Our new ninth graders are quickly finding their way around the division and our seniors are already reveling in their final year of High School.

Our returning faculty is thrilled to be back and work and to see the smiling faces of our students. We have also welcomed 8 new faculty members to the high school. They bring with them a wealth of international experience and we look forward to the many contributions they will make in the high school.

Throughout this year, we will continue to emphasize each student’s role as a valued global citizen, our need to maintain a sustainable environment and the importance of upholding the school’s values of respect, responsibility and integrity. By emphasizing these core values, we hope to promote not only academic excellence and student performance, but also instill in students the value of service to others and global-mindedness.

To build on our partnership with parents, we encourage you to be an active participant in your son or daughter’s education. Throughout the year, we encourage you to be in close contact with your student’s teachers and ensure that he or she comes to school prepared and on time each day. When questions or problems arise, never hesitate to contact us. We encourage you to participate in our parent-teacher conferences and to keep up-to-date on important events by reading the High School Morning Announcements, which are emailed daily to parents, and the weekly on-line Highro-Glyphics, which is emailed to parents each Thursday.

We look forward to seeing each of you over the course of this upcoming school year. At any time, feel free to stop by, to ask questions, or to share your comments or concerns. Your feedback is most welcome and is vital as we continue to make academic excellence at CAC our first priority.
