Philosophy
We believe that expression in the visual arts is basic to all persons and common to all cultures.
We believe that the study of visual arts challenges and develops a student's:
-creative expression,
-problem-solving ability,
-aesthetic perception and awareness,
-visualization of the elements of art and the principles of design,
-manipulative skills with tools and equipment,
-sensitivity to historical and cultural heritage,
-ability to analyze, interpret and make sound aesthetic judgments
We believe the inclusion of visual arts in every student's education is essential for success in today's area of fast paced imagery, interconnected cultures and sophisticated technology.
