Printmaking


Description: Students can select to study Printmaking at either of the two levels. In this course students will have an opportunity to experiment, explore and create some exciting images that do not depend on strong drawing skills. They will learn about unique prints and block printing, and silk screening on paper and T-shirts.

Students with art or drawing background, they have an opportunity to apply those skills and talents in a new media. Students will learn about mono printing, lino blocks, etchings and silkscreen printing.

This is an “accordion” type offering that can expand or contract to meet student’s talents, interests and abilities.

Credit: 1 credit per semester (for each level)
Length of course: 1 semester (both levels offered each semester)

*Due to high cost of some materials, students will be required to provide/purchase sketchbooks/ materials/tools at their own expense and also pay a studio fee.
