perspective - oil pastel

 The Middle School Drawing and Painting courses, (I and II), are designed to develop the student's interest and skills in drawing and painting.

Students explore a variety of media including pencil, charcoal, pastel, pen and ink, watercolor, tempera and acrylic.

The main concepts of line, shape, space, color, value and texture are introduced.

Students keep a sketchbook and are encouraged to record and discuss their ideas and artwork.

Projects are displayed throughout the semester and at the CAC secondary art show towards the end of each semester.

Drawing and painting I and II each last one semester.

No prior experience or coursework is required.
