Multi-Media is a hands on, studio approach to the learning of the basic design concepts. The elements of line, shape, color, value and space are emphasized as basic to composition. The content of each Multi-Media course is different. Therefore students may choose to take I, II, IIIor IV. |

Multi-Media I - The various techniques and processes within the art of drawing, painting and printmaking will be introduced. Projects will include experimental watercolor, resist paintings, value drawings, pastel drawings, calligraphy, and reduction printing. Multi-Media II - The various techniques and processes within the art of sculpture, ceramics and crafts will be introduced. Projects will include cardboard, sculpture, masks, functional pottery, clay action figures, and 3-D painting. Multi-Medi III - Projects reflect 4 main themes - fiber arts, jewelry making, papermaking, and graphic design. Multi-Media IV - Projects reflect 3 main themes - sculpture, design and mixed media.
