Photography Beginning

This is an introductory course which explores beginning vocabulary, camera mechanics, darkroom and studio techniques necessary to produce successful photographic enlargements. Themes explored include the production of a photo album, the photogram, man as he relates to himself, to his family, his school, his community and his country. The work is in 5" x 7" format.

   

 Photography Intermediate

This is a continued exploration of photographic skils, techniques and aesthetic concepts with increased emphasis placed onfield research, studio and darkroom skills. Themes explored in depth are: The condition of man, portraits, land and waterscapes, still-life, nature, architecture, minimalism and computer assisted photography. The work is in 5" x 7" and 8" x 10" format.

   

 Photography, advanced studies

Advanced studies is for those students who are seriously interested in pursuing the art of photography. Specialized camera, studio, dakroom skills and photographic techniques are explored in the context of an extended project. The student should be self motivating and able to work independently. The work is in 8" x 10" and 11æ x 14" format.
