sculpted boxes - tempera

Emphasis is placed on the elements and principles of design as they apply to the creation of three dimensional forms.

Students will view and discuss historical and contemporary pieces of sculpture and will gain an understanding and appreciation of these forms.

Length of course is 1 semester.

NOTE: Intermediate sculpture is an extension of Beginning Sculpture, exploring and applying, on a more sophisticated level, skills and techniques learned during the first semester. Both levels function during the same class period, however; the basics of beginning sculpture must be completed successfully before a student can go on to the intermediate level.
