Mixed Choir - Grade 6 and 7


This class is open to students in Grades 6-7, regardless of musical experience or singing ability. Members of this choir will be introduced to 2-part and 3-part choral music. Singers will also learn rehearsal skills, how to read music and how to perform. Members of the choir are required to bring a bottle of water to each rehearsal.The Mixed Choir will appear in concerts and assemblies throughout the year, and will also perform at venues outside of CAC
Length of Course: One year

 

Boys' Choir- Grades 7 and 8


This class is open to any boy, regardless of musical experience or singing ability. Members of Boys' Choir will learn how to deal effectively with the "voice change" which occurs in adolescent boys. Singers will also learn how to rehearse, read music, and perform as a group. In addition the boys in this choir will be taught how to use a microphone and how to operate a soundboard. Members of the choir are required to bring a bottle of water to each rehearsal. The Boys' Chorus will appear in concerts and assemblies throughout the year.
Length of Course: One year

 

Girls' Choir - Grade 7 and 8


This class is open to any girl in Grades 7-8, regardless of musical experience or singing ability. Members of this choir will be introduced to 2-part and 3-part choral music for female voices. Singers will also learn rehearsal skills, how to read music and how to perform. Members of the choir are required to bring a bottle of water to each rehearsal. The Girls' Choir will appear in concerts and assemblies throughout the year, and will also perform at venues outside of CAC
