Much Ado About Nothing
by William Shakespeare
Mercifully, Much Ado About Nothing, ends happily so that we have a romantic comedy rather than a moral comedy. No fewer than nine of its seventeen scenes deal with overhearing, eavesdropping, or out-and-out spying! Eleven scenes deal with falsehoods hiding truth behind masks, fiction plots, or emotional facades. What a mess of misfortune! We've enjoyed putting it together for you.
On another note, I need to acknowledge the efforts of a terrific theater department that has pulled together in our times of misfortune. I want to applaud the extra efforts of Rob Gutowski and David Chapman to create the glorious Spanish hacienda. In the back room Ruba Mounajed and Lynda Halabi have taken on the task of costuming the actors. The teamwork for this show was exceptional. Many thanks to you all!
