School House Rock Live!

School House Rock was born out of a parent's concern for his child's education. In the early 1970's, David McCall, an advertising executive, was one such parent. He noticed that his 11-year-old son had trouble memorizing his multiplication tables - a difficulty for most 11 year olds. However, his son had little difficulty memorizing his favorite rock songs! Mr. McCall decided to put music to schoolwork and the result was a series of three-minute short cartoons, Schoolhouse Rock. The popularity of the series was undeniable, as was its ability to teach. The marriage of education and music did not stop there. The series creators developed a musical version, Schoolhouse Rock Live! Its appeal is undeniable, as is its ability to help you memorize U.S. history, grammar, science, and math.
