International Thespian Society Don't Drink the Water
The Thespian Society is dedicated to sharing its members’ love of theatre with the entire school community. By producing a Thespian play each winter, we provide an open-ended opportunity for all students within and outside of the Society, whether in high school acting classes or not, to participate—either back stage or onstage—in the production of a major show. Additionally, the annual Thespian play provides avid theatre-goers in our community with yet another occasion to attend a production at CAC. Finally, it is a rare opportunity for students to take care of all aspects of the production—from the directing to the acting, from the lights to the costumes—and everything in between—it is truly a student-led enterprise.
This production signifies a series of noteworthy “firsts”; it is the first high school performance staged in our newly renovated threatre, it is the first Thespian play the majority of tonight’s actors will perform in—and for some, their first time in a stage production ever, it is the first Thespian production under the guidance of the Society’s new sponsor, Mrs. Dolly Shalaby, and it is the first Thespian-sponsored production sponsored by this year’s Society.
The Thespian Society takes immense pride in this evening’s production, and we sincerely hope you will enjoy this performance as much as we have enjoyed creating it for you. Your laughter will be our greatest reward.
Theatrically yours,
Bryana K. Tucci
