Grades 6, 7 & 8

Middle school stagecraft is designed to introduce students to technical theater. Students will be exposed to all aspects of theater production with particular emphasis on basic set design and construction, lighting theory and practice, and sound systems and their operation. Students will be trained in the safe operation of theater equipment and will act as crew and technicians for all Middle school performing arts events.
As well as this out of class tech crew requirement, students must also write a play review that examines the technical aspects of a CAC production currently running during the course of study.
