Technology
Course Description:
Introduction to Applied Technology is a
hands-on, engaging course for sixth grade students. During
the semester, students will build several individual
projects, combining skills in engineering, problem solving,
technology and science.

Introduction:
Students will explore the four clusters of Technology
Education: Power Energy and Transportation, Manufacturing,
Construction, and Communications.
Great emphasis will be places on the design process. How
things work will be thematic throughout this course.
Students will be given open-ended problems, and will be
given the opportunity to solve them. This will be completed
in several ways.
Text and resources:
As this class offers an array of technologies, it also
offers an array of texts and resources. All required
materials and texts are provided.
