Dear CAC Community:

With the Winter Break upon us, I wanted to write a short note to wish everyone a happy holiday season and to update the community on a couple of the major issues the Board of Trustees is addressing.

As you know, Head of School Wayne Rutherford’s service to CAC will conclude at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year.  The Board has advised several leading international academic search firms that we are looking for a new HOS to start the 2019-2020 academic year; in January, we expect to choose one of them to conduct the search for us.  The Board is committed to ensuring active involvement of the community in identifying the next HOS and additional information about the search process will be forthcoming early in the new year.

The Board approved significant investments in safety and security related improvements on campus at its November meeting.  These will include establishment of a comprehensive, modern safety program for major maintenance, service, and technical functions campus-wide. Additional information about safety improvements will be provided at the Board Informational Session scheduled for February 1, 2018.

The Board would like to congratulate all of our students for their hard work and successes during the first semester.  The Board would also like to thank all of CAC’s faculty and staff, parents and parent volunteers, for their tireless efforts on behalf of our children and our school.  To all members of the CAC community, we hope you enjoy a well-deserved safe, restful Winter break, wherever you may be.
