CAC STUDENT-ATHLETE STORIES

Al Hassan Naguib is another one of our awesome High School students who has a lot going on in his life that we are so proud of. The Grade-11 student is a part of the Wrestling team as well as the Cross Country team here at CAC.

“In general I feel like CAC has a very encouraging community, especially when it comes to athletics and activities,” was what the young athlete had to say when asked about how the school supports his co-curricular life. The CAC community, which includes teachers, staff, parents and fellow students, as a whole, puts a great emphasis on the importance of athletics participation in our students’ lives.

High School students often have a lot of important responsibilities and decisions to make, as they start preparing for their IB Diploma, and begin to look at university options. Oftentimes, their involvement in Sports will allow them to balance their lives and become a source of outlet for their energy. We understand the importance of this in our “whole-child” philosophy, and our community members do their best to encourage our students to do more and more.

“Wrestling is a very hard sport, and it takes commitment and determination to continue with it. The coaches at CAC are all very supportive, constantly encouraging me to go further and push harder,” added Al Hassan.

This is one of the most unique factors of being a student at CAC, that the students are always encouraged to pursue their passions, even if it gets hard at times. The academic program here at the school makes sure to incorporate sports and activities into the daily lives of the students.

Pre Covid 19 mitigation, CAC took part in countless tournaments abroad. In Grade 8 and 9, Hassan was able to take part in wrestling tournaments in Dubai and in India with the school. We are so proud of our young athlete for winning 3rd place in Dubai, and 1st place in India.

While tournaments and travel are not back on yet due to the extended mitigation steps around the world, our entire CAC community is hopeful it can be back very soon.

Meanwhile, local events are still available for the students. Hassan recently took part in the Trifactory Marathon in Gouna, Hurghada with the Cross Country Team from CAC.
