Tarek Sakr

Tarek joined the Board of Trustees in July 2021 as an elected representative and then as an appointed member.

He is a proud CAC alumnus, class of '98 and the father of Alia class of 2033 and Omar class of 2028.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and began his career at Wells Fargo in the USA before joining Ahli United Bank and then venturing on his own.

He founded Kuwait Car General Trading in Kuwait where, after acquiring two little-known technology platforms, he was able as a hands-on CEO to develop them into the successes they are today: the online marketplace that dominates the classifieds space in Kuwait. Subsequently selling a majority share in the businesses to National Bank of Kuwait's Private Equity division, Tarek serves on the Board of Directors while leading the companies as CEO, responsible for high-level strategy.
