Our athletics program serves students at all grade levels, with Elementary School, Middle School, and High School teams engaging in events within CISSA (Cairo International School Sports Association), one of the Cairo international schools sports leagues with membership of 14 international schools in Cairo. CISSA participation is for varsity, JV, middle school, and elementary school teams, including both tournaments and friendly games, with many CAC teams participating. CISSA hosts successful elementary tournaments and events, middle school tournaments for boys and girls at the U12 and U14 levels, and high school tournaments for JV (U16) and varsity levels.

Our high school teams compete in the International School Athletic Association (ISAA), with travel opportunities to ISAA tournaments hosted in Europe and the Middle East in multiple sports, as well as some invitational tournaments. ISAA is an organization providing varsity end of season tournaments, with some junior division participation in cross-country, swimming, and track & field.

There are many sports offered as part of the after school activities program (ASAs) for our Elementary School students to choose from. These are complemented by opportunities for competition in local friendly tournaments with other CISSA or area school members.

ISST Champions

The CAC athletic program has been in place for most of the school’s 75 years, with participation in great leagues with top Middle East and European international schools since the 1970’s. CAC teams have won 99 ISST championships in multiple sports, from junior boys track in 1977, to overall swimming in 2018. Check Our ISST Records

CAC Swimming

With 17 overall, and 48 group division (VB, VG, JVB, JVG) ISST championships between 1987 and 2018, CAC swimming has benefitted from coach longevity, expertise, and commitment. CAC has an international student body with excellent student athletes, and an excellent home pool facility. Combined with an in house development program, this has led to the excellent culture of swimming, results and expectation for CAC. The swim program benefits from attending a high level ISST or ISAA international school swim meet as a culminating event for the swim season. CAC swimming continues, with scheduled participation in the ISAA swimming tournament in March of 2022.

CAC BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

With 14 ISST championships between 1990 and 2018, CAC boys’ volleyball has enjoyed success due to a strong coaching expertise and commitment, a great home gym facility and a diverse student body with excellent student athletes from multiple nations. The boys’ volleyball program benefits from attending a high level ISST or ISAA international school tournament at the end of the season. CAC boys’ volleyball continues, with scheduled participation in the ISAA tournament in November of 2021.
