Dear CAC community,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I write to express my immense gratitude for your support and guidance during an exceptionally challenging and rewarding academic year.
We feel privileged that you have granted us the opportunity to work with your exceptional children on a daily basis. Thank you for your valuable trust. Our goal is to help each child explore their talents and hone their abilities so they may reach their full potential in a fun and safe environment.
Last Friday we witnessed the class of 2022 walk across the stage at the foot of the pyramids and the sphinx. We are very proud of all our CAC students and especially our seniors. They have developed into thinkers, writers, problem solvers, team players and leaders who are passionate about solving important problems. They have learned to eloquently voice their opinion while respectfully listening to others. The board expresses its most sincere congratulations to the graduating class of 2022. The seniors are a reflection of the best of CAC. These fine young men and women are leaving CAC in a world of uncertainty, disruption and global strife. A CAC education has prepared them in extraordinary ways to cope with adversity and lead the world to peace and prosperity.
A very special thank you to Dr. Jared Harris and the administration team for their tireless work and continued dedication to CAC. Every time we think that we have reached normalcy we find ourselves faced with complicated decisions. Jared has been a partner and a solid rock in making decisions with the wellbeing of our students at center stage, always.
As we look back on this academic year we reflect on many achievements. We completed the CIS/MSA reaccreditation with commendations in several areas such as the engagement of our curriculum, the quality of our learning experiences and our school culture among many others. We have implemented a new PK3 program and PYP authorization. Our high school students occupied the newly renovated High School building and have been fully utilizing the facilities to enhance their learning and education. The board has approved a three year strategic plan with four pillars: Programs, Well Being, International Mindedness and Sustainability. We will be monitoring the execution of the strategic plan as it unfolds in the years to come. Finally, the board has approved an updated Maadi campus master plan and signed an MOU agreement for the planned New Cairo Campus.
This summer the board will hold its annual retreat and work towards establishing our goals for the next academic year which we will be sharing with you in the beginning of the school year 2022-2023.
A very special heartfelt thank you goes to Nawal, our board executive assistant, for managing the board with care, diligence and thoughtfulness. Nawal, we would be lost without you.
The CAC Board of Trustees is here to serve you and future generations by safeguarding the CAC Mission and securing all that is necessary to continue our tradition of excellence while maintaining the wellbeing of our CAC community. None of this would be possible without the support of our exceptional community. I wish you a very happy and restful summer with your family and I look forward to welcoming you back in August. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me if I can be of service.
With my warmest regards,
CAC Board Chair
